Purpose of Privacy Policy
The protection of personal information is important to Swim Rite Aquatic School (hereinafter “SRAS”). SRAS is committed to respecting individuals’ privacy and the protection of personal information.
This document sets out how SRAS may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information. By providing yours or your child’s personal information (hereinafter “You”) to SRAS, You consent to its use, storage and disclosure in accordance with this privacy policy.
Why does SRAS collect personal information
SRAS collects personal information about the part-time swim teachers, parents, students and those persons who use, access, provide or participate in SRAS’s services, events and activities. SRAS collects personal information in order to properly and efficiently carry out its functions, including to provide services to you.
What information does SRAS collects
The information collected by SRAS will vary depending on the circumstances. It may include, but is not limited to:
- Name and contact details
- Date of birth and gender
- National Identification Number
- Emergency contact details
- Bank account and/or credit card details
- Payment history
- Health information
- Details regarding participation in our programs
- Photographs and videos of You during classes, swim meets or any events organized by SRAS or third parties acting on behalf of SRAS.
Disclosure of information to third parties
SRAS may, from time to time, disclose your personal information to a range of third parties in order to provide training and services to you. These third parties, whether owned or acting on behalf of SRAS, may be governed by their own privacy policies. SRAS will inform you before sending to these third parties and will always do its utmost to ensure your personal information is respected and protected.
SRAS may need to comply to Singapore Law to discloses personal information when required.
Collection from third parties
In some situations SRAS may collect personal information about You from third parties such independent swim coaches, swimming organisation or local swim clubs. SRAS may also collect personal information from your family member. SRAS will inform You, where reasonably practicable, about such collections and will use such personal information only in accordance with this Policy.
Uses of Information
SAL may also disclose your personal information (including your name, age, gender, address of residence, local swimming club, personal profile, photographs and or videos of you and your results) to the media and through our physical and digital applications and publications (including our website, social media, emails and newsletters) that are available for public viewing.
Updating of Privacy Policy
The clauses set in this policy are subjected to change. We endeavour to inform you through email or other communication channels on any changes.
