Swimsafer 2.0 – Time Requirement

Swimsafer syllabus is updated and relaunched as Swimsafer 2.0 in 2018. Of the many changes, one key difference is that candidates will need to swim below the stipulated time requirement at the Silver and Gold stages to pass the test.

To put this in perspective, to qualify for National Primary Schools Swimming Championships (D division), Qualifying Times for 50 Freestyle and 100m Freestyle are 46 seconds and 1:45 min respectively. The passing timings for Swimsafer 2.0 for similar distances are 1:30 min and 3:00 min respectively. It is certainly achievable with correct stroke techniques. So start perfecting your stroke today!
